Polyfunctionalized tetrathiafulvalenes for advanced materials

Four topics developed in our group are presented. They deal with i) 1,4-dithiafulven-6yl subtituted TTFs or analogs of TTF behaving as space extended, S-rich and hypervalent strong π-donors, ii) fullerene C60-TTF assemblies prone to undergo intramolecular electron transfers, iii) O, S and N crown ether-TTF assemblies, behaving as redox switchable metal cation complexing agents, and iv) dendrimeric molecules end-capped with 12 TTF groups, able to develop intra and interdendrimeric electron and charge transfer in their 1⁄2 mixed valence state. Hence, the synthesis, electrochemistry, spectroscopy and physical or chemical properties of these systems will be presented.

متن کاملA multi-component domino reaction for the direct access to polyfunctionalized indoles via intermolecular allylic esterification and indolation.
A novel multi-component reaction for the synthesis of polyfunctionalized indoles and bis-indoles has been established. The reaction pathways were controlled by varying enamines with different substitution patterns to give polyfunctionalized indoles and bis-indoles selectively. The reaction proceeds at a fast speed within 15-30 min with water as the major byproduct, which makes work-up convenient.
